Using an ACL to Prevent Certain Users from Accessing the Internet in the Specified Time Range

Using an ACL to Prevent Certain Users from Accessing the Internet in the Specified Time Range

To prevent certain users from accessing the Internet in a specified time range, you can apply an ACL to a traffic policy or simplified traffic policy.

In Figure 5-7, the enterprise intranet connects to the Internet through a router. Some employees access non-work-related websites in work hours, lowering their work efficiency. Therefore, to prevent these employees from accessing the Internet in work hours and allow access in off-hours, a time-based ACL is configured and an ACL-based traffic policy or simplified traffic policy is applied to the inbound direction of Interface 1, which connects to these employees.
