Application Scenarios for AMI

The device functions as the DCU gateway and integrates the DCU and router functions, facilitating installation and commissioning and saves investment. The DCU gateway can be widely used in data collection, storage, and communication of various smart meters (such as electricity meters, energy meters, and gas meters) in IoT solutions.

Figure 1-4 shows an electricity network. The device can connect to meters through RS485, PLC, ZigBee, and RF channels. The device collects meter data for automatic meter data reading and forwards the meter data collected through FE/SFP or 3G to the front-end processor to implement smart grid.
