(Optional) Configuring Broadcast Timing

(Optional) Configuring Broadcast Timing

After a broadcast timing task is configured, the device broadcasts its time to the connected electrical meters. After electrical meters receive the broadcast timing packet, they adjust their time in accordance with the time in the broadcast timing packet to ensure the consistency of the time on the device and electrical meters.

The device provides the following broadcast timing modes:

  • Automatic: After the broadcast timing period is set, the device automatically triggers broadcast timing at the configured period.
  • Associated: After the Head-End completes timing for the device, the device performs broadcast timing for downstream electrical meters.
  • Manual: Broadcast timing is triggered manually in real time.
When the device communicates with electrical meters using DLT645-07, pay attention to the following points:
  • Automatic broadcast timing is successful only when the time difference between the device and electrical meters is within 5 minutes.

  • Broadcast timing can be performed for electrical meters only once every day. After timing of electrical meters is successful at one time, subsequent timing will fail.

  1. Run the system-view command to enter the system view.
  2. Run the ami command to enter the AMI view.
  3. Run the following commands as required.

    • Run the broadcast-timing automatic { disable | enable } [ schedule time ] command to enable automatic broadcast timing, and configure scheduled broadcast timing time.

By default, automatic broadcast timing is enabled, and the scheduled broadcast timing time is 00:10:00.

    • Run the broadcast-timing synchronization { disable | enable } command to enable associated broadcast timing.

By default, associated broadcast timing is enabled.

Associated and automatic broadcast timing can be enabled simultaneously.

    • Run the tool broadcast-timing command to manually trigger broadcast timing immediately.
