Configuring the Connection Type

Configuring the Connection Type

When the device functions as the TCP client to communicate with the peer DCP, you can set the timeout interval and interval for the connection between the device and remote end in addition to specifying the remote IP address and port number. If the device does not connect to the remote end when the timeout interval expires, the device sends an instruction again to request the connection after the connection interval expires.

  1. Run the system-view command to enter the system view.
  2. Run the ami command to enter the AMI view.
  3. Run the connection connection-name command to configure the connection name and enter the connection view.
  4. Run the parameter protocol-type { iec62056 | modbus } command to configure the communication protocol type of a DCP connecting to the device.
  5. Run the parameter connection-type tcp-client { remote address port port-num | time-out time | retry-wait interval-value } * command to configure the local connection type, remote IP address, remote port number, timeout interval and interval for the connection to the remote end on the device.
