Configuring the Authentication Level

Configuring the Authentication Level

Before a device communicates with a DCP, the authentication level of the DCP needs to be checked. The two sides can communicate only when they have the same authentication level.

  1. Run the system-view command to enter the system view.
  2. Run the ami command to enter the AMI view.
  3. Run the basic id id password { low | high } command to configure the device ID and high-level authentication password.
  4. (Optional) When high-level authentication is used, run the basic high-algorithm { aes-128 | aes-256 | sha-256 } command to configure the encryption algorithm for high-level authentication.

By default, high-level authentication uses the SHA-256 algorithm.
