Configuring the Device Rollback Monitoring Function

Configuring the Device Rollback Monitoring Function

Context

When a device starts, the device may fail to connect to the Agile Controller because the configuration file is damaged, the configuration file is modified by the user, or the device fails to be registered on the Agile Controller for a long period of time. To locate the cause of a device startup failure in a timely manner, perform the following steps to monitor the device for startup restoration.
NOTE:

Only AR502 series of V200R010C10 version support this command.

Procedure

  1. Run startup configuration-rollback

The system view is displayed. The device is configured to revert to the configuration file backed up by the user.

By default, a device starts using the factory configuration file.

    NOTE:

If you need to clear the rollback configuration file configured for a device, run the reset configuration-rollback command in the system view.

  2. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  3. Run configuration-rollback agile-controller offline-long-time enable

Reset monitoring upon a device's failure to connect to the Agile Controller for a long period of time is enabled.

By default, reset monitoring upon a device's failure to connect to the Agile Controller for a long period of time is disabled.

  4. Run configuration-rollback agile-controller offline-long-time timeout timeout

The interval for reset monitoring upon a device's failure to connect to the Agile Controller for a long period of time is configured.

By default, the interval for reset monitoring upon a device's failure to connect to the Agile Controller for a long period of time is 720 minutes.

  5. Run configuration-rollback agile-controller offline-configuration-modify enable

The function of monitoring whether the device fails to connect to the Agile Controller because the configuration file is modified is enabled.

By default, the function of monitoring whether the device fails to connect to the Agile Controller because the configuration file is modified is disabled on a device.

  6. Run configuration-rollback agile-controller offline-configuration-modify timeout timeout

The interval for monitoring whether the device fails to connect to the Agile Controller because the configuration file is modified is configured.

By default, the interval for monitoring whether the device fails to connect to the Agile Controller because the configuration file is modified is 15 minutes.

Result

  • Run the display configuration-rollback agile-controller offline-long-time status command to check the status of the device that fails to connect to the Agile Controller for a long period of time.

  • Run the display configuration-rollback agile-controller offline-configuration-modify status command to check modification monitoring information about the device configuration file.

  • Run the display_configuration-rollback { auto | customer } command to check detailed information about the rollback configuration file that is configured by the customer or automatically generated.
