Configuring Basic MLD Functions

Context

After basic MLD functions are configured on a multicast device interface connected to a user network segment, user hosts can access the IPv6 multicast network and receive IPv6 multicast data.

Pre-configuration Tasks

Before configuring basic MLD functions, configure an IPv6 unicast routing protocol to ensure that IPv6 routes between nodes are reachable.

Configuration Procedure

Enabling MLD and configuring the MLD version are mandatory. Other configurations are optional.
