Resetting IGMP Group Memberships
Context
After IGMP group memberships are reset, group members may fail to receive multicast data. Confirm your operation before clearing IGMP group information.
Procedure
- Run the reset igmp [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name | all-instance ] group { all | interface interface-type interface-number { all | group-address [ mask { group-mask | group-mask-length } ] [ source-address [ mask { source-mask | source-mask-length } ] ] } } command in the user view to reset dynamic IGMP entries on interfaces.
- Run the undo igmp static-group { all | group-address [ inc-step-mask { group-mask | group-mask-length } number group-number ] [ source source-address ] } command in the interface view to reset static group memberships.
- Run the reset igmp [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name | all-instance ] group ssm-mapping { all | interface interface-type interface-number { all | group-address [ mask { group-mask | group-mask-length } ] } } command in the user view to reset group memberships established with IGMP SSM mapping.
