Licensing Requirements and Limitations for Basic WLAN-Fat AP Services
Licensing Requirements
WLAN Fat AP functions are basic functions of routers and can be obtained without licenses.
Feature Limitations
Only the AR502EGW-L, AR503GW-LM7, AR503GW-LcM7, AR503GW-Lo, AR503EW, AR503EQGW-L, AR503EDGW-Lo, AR503EDGW-Lc, AR503EDGW-Lc3, AR503HGW-Lc, AR503HGW-L, AR509GW-L-D-H, AR509CGW-L, and AR510 series provide WLAN Fat AP functions.
By default, a device supporting WLAN Fat functions has a Wi-Fi network configured. The login name and password of this Wi-Fi network are PnP_xxxxxx and ARxxxxxx, respectively. xxxxxx is the last 6 digits of the device ESN. This Wi-Fi network is available only when the device has the factory defaults and allows deployment personnel to configure deployment. After a user saves the deployment configuration and restarts the device, the device automatically deletes this Wi-Fi network. To restore this Wi-Fi network, restore the device to the factory defaults. If a device has a LAN-side interface as the management interface, the user can connect to this Wi-Fi network to access the web system.
When the network bridge and WLAN Fat AP functions are both configured on a device, IP address information obtained by STAs cannot be displayed on the device because the network bridge transparently transmit ARP packets from the STAs.
