This alarm is generated when the system failed to obtain the board ID or the obtained board ID is incorrect.

Impact on the System

If the functions related with the board ID are abnormal, the communication between the board and the management module may be interrupted.

Possible Causes

  • The chassis backplane is faulty.
  • The compute node is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Restart the iMana 200. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If yes, go to 2.
    You can restart the iMana 200 using either of the following methods:
    • On the HMM CLI, run the telnet 0 1101 command, switch to the iMana 200 CLI, and run the ipmcset -d reset command.
    • On the HMM WebUI, choose Chassis settings > Network Settings > Node, switch to the iMana 200 WebUI, choose System > Firmware Upgrade, and click Restart iMana 200

  2. Reseat the compute node. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 3.

  3. Switch the alarmed compute mode with a norma compute node, and check whether the alarm is still generated for this compute node.

    • If yes, go to 4.
    • If no, go to 5.

  4. Replace the mainboard. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 5.

  5. On the HMM WebUI, choose System Management > Information Collection, and collect logs.
  6. Contact Huawei technical support.
