Impact on the System

The management module cannot manage the server.

Possible Causes

  • The management module is faulty.
  • The compute node is faulty.
  • The chassis backplane is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Reboot the MM910. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If yes, go to 2.
    You can restart the MM910 using either of the following methods:
    • On the HMM WebUI, choose System Management > Firmware Upgrade > MM and press the reset button.
    • On the HMM CLI, run the reboot command.
      NOTE:

      During the restart, the system cannot be centrally managed, and services are not affected.

  2. Restart the iMana 200. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If yes, go to 3.
    You can restart the iMana 200 using either of the following methods:
    • On the HMM CLI, run the telnet 0 1101 command, switch to the iMana 200 CLI, and run the ipmcset -d reset command.
    • On the HMM WebUI, choose Chassis settings > Network Settings > Node, switch to the iMana 200 WebUI, choose System > Firmware Upgrade, and click Restart iMana 200

  3. Reseat the compute node and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If yes, go to 4.

  4. On the HMM WebUI, choose System Management > Information Collection, and collect logs.
  5. Contact Huawei technical support.
