Cluster System Plan

At least 1 GB system memory is required for installing Oracle RAC. Considering memory pre-allocation mechanism used by Oracle databases and database performance, you are advised to configure larger memory. Table 1-3 provides the recommended size for the random access memory (RAM) and swap partition.


After Oracle RAC is installed, 20 GB is allocated to the swap partition by default. You can change the value based on service requirements.
