Using the Tool

After the database environment is deployed, upload the downloaded software package to one RAC server and perform a configuration audit as user root.

To use the tool, run the following command as user oracle:

 [dbn01 orachk]# ./oracheck

 113 of the included audit checks require root privileged data collection . If sudo is not configured or the root password is  
 not available, audit checks which  require root privileged data collection can be skipped.

 2. Enter 2 if you have sudo configured for oracle user to execute script 
 3. Enter 3 to skip the root privileged collections 
 4. Enter 4 to exit and work with the SA to configure sudo  or to arrange for root access and run the tool later.

Option 1: In the execution phase, enter the password of user root as prompted.
Option 2: Indicates that sudo is configured for user oracle.
Option 3: Skip the checks that require the permission of user root. This option is not recommended.
Option 4: Exit ORAchk to configure the root permission.
