Installing and Configuring OSWatcher

Installing and Configuring OSWatcher

OSWatcher is a downloadable tool used to capture performance indicators of the OS.

As part of the best practice for collecting performance diagnosis data, installing and running OSWatcher can help Oracle technical support and development personnel quickly handle your service requests.

OSWatcher consists of two components.

  • OSWatcher Black Box (OSWbb): a UNIX shell script used to collect and store data
  • OSWacther Black Box Analyzer (OSWbba): a Java tool used to analyze data automatically, provide suggestions, and generate an .html document containing graphs

These components are included in a downloadable .tar file.
