Configuring ASM Disk Groups

Configuring ASM Disk Groups

  1. Create ASM disks.

On the FusionCube Center WebUI, create ASM volumes in different storage pools, for example, StoragePool_01 and StoragePool_02. Ensure that the numbers of the volumes in all storage pools are the same. Select the storage pool hosting the volume from Storage pool.

    Figure 7-5 Creating volume

  2. Configure ASM disks.

After mapping the created volumes to Oracle RAC nodes, configure ASM disks. For details, see Configuring ASM Disks.

When configuring the ASM disk groups, observe the following:

    • Set the redundancy mode of all ASM disk groups to Normal.
    • Ensure that the number of volumes in different storage pools is 1:1.
    • Configure two Failure Groups for the ASM data disk group and three failure groups (including one NFS disk) for the ASM OCR disk group.
