TR069

TR069

This section describes how to set parameters for connecting the IP phone to eSight/TMS.

  1. Access the phone web page as an administrator. For details, see Web Page Access.
  2. Choose Advanced > TR069.

The TR069 page is displayed, as shown in Figure 6-13.

    Figure 6-13 TR069

  3. Set parameters (see Table 6-19 for detailed parameter descriptions).

    NOTE:

You are not advised to manually modify the STUN server parameters on the phone web page. Instead, set STUN server parameters on eSight, which then delivers the parameters to IP phones. For details, see Setting STUN Server Parameters.

    Table 6-19 Parameter description

    Parameter

    Description

    How to Set

How to Modify the Configuration File

    TR069

Indicates whether to enable TR-069. If you select Enable, the IP phone sends session connection requests to the ACS. If you select Disable, the IP phone does not send session connection requests to the ACS.

Enable TR-069 when eSight/TMS is deployed. This facilitates phone management in batches.

    Default: Enable

    Parameter: enable

Location: Device > ComCfg > ManagementServer

    Value: 0 or 1

    • 0: disable
    • 1: enable

    Example: enable="1"

    ACS User Name

Indicates the user name used for eSight/TMS to authenticate the IP phone.

It is recommended that you use the default value.

    Default: eSight

    Parameter: Username

Location: Device > ComCfg > ManagementServer

    Example: Username="eSight"

    ACS Password

Indicates the password used for eSight/TMS to authenticate the IP phone.

To ensure communication security, change the password periodically.

    Default: eSight*123

    Parameter: Password

Location: Device > ComCfg > ManagementServer

    Example: Password="eSight*123"

    ACS Address

Indicates the URL for accessing the TR-069 service on eSight/TMS.

    • In encrypted transmission, set this parameter to the URL in format of https://eSight server address:8444/tr069/services/acs.
    • In non-encrypted transmission, set this parameter to the URL in format of http://eSight server address:8089/tr069/services/acs.
    • IP phones support bidirectional authentication during access to eSight. In the bidirectional authentication scenario, enter https://eSight server address:32241/tr069double/services/acs.
    • Connected to TMS:
      • In encrypted transmission, set this parameter to the URL in format of https://TMS southbound server IP address:8443/comserver/node1/tr069.
      • In non-encrypted transmission, set this parameter to the URL in format of http://TMS southbound server IP address:9000/comserver/node1/tr069.

    Default: https://ucems.company.com :8444/tr069/services/acs

    NOTE:

If ACS Address is configured as follows, set HTTPS to Disable on the Advanced > Others page in the IP phone web management system to prevent the IP phone from failing to connect to eSight:

    • The value of ACS Address is in IP address format.
    • The domain name in ACS Address is different from the value of Common Name in the eSight server certificate.

    Parameter: URL

Location: Device > ComCfg > ManagementServer

    Example: URL="https://10.171.216.191 :8444/tr069/services/acs"

    Report Interval

Indicates the interval for the IP phone to initiate a connection session to the ACS.

Set this parameter depending on your needs.

    Value range: 0-65535

    Unit: second

    Default: 1800

    Parameter: PeriodicInformInterval

Location: Device > ComCfg > ManagementServer

    Unit: second

    Example: PeriodicInformInterval="600"

    CPE User Name

Indicates the user name used for the IP phone to authenticate eSight/TMS. No configuration is required on eSight/TMS. Instead, the IP phone reports its user name to eSight/TMS in an unsolicited manner.

It is recommended that you use the default value.

    Default: huawei

    Parameter: ConnectionRequestUsername

Location: Device > ComCfg > ManagementServer

    Example: ConnectionRequestUsername="huawei"

    CPE Password

Indicates the password used for the IP phone to authenticate eSight/TMS. No configuration is required on eSight/TMS. Instead, the IP phone reports its password to eSight/TMS in an unsolicited manner.

To ensure communication security, change the password periodically.

    Default: huawei123

    Parameter: ConnectionRequestPassword

Location: Device > ComCfg > ManagementServer

    Example: ConnectionRequestPassword="huawei123"

    Authentication Mode

Indicates the authentication mode. Three options are available:

    • Basic: In basic authentication mode, user names and passwords are transmitted over the network in plain text. Therefore, it is not a secure authentication mode, unless it works with some security approaches.
    • Digest: Similar to basic authentication, digest authentication authenticates two communication parties using the secrets (for example, passwords) that the two parties know. But unlike basic authentication, digest authentication transmits passwords in ciphertext.

    Default: Digest

    Parameter: ConnectionAuthType

Location: Device > ComCfg > ManagementServer

    Value: 1, 2

    • 1: basic authentication
    • 2: digest authentication

    Example: ConnectionAuthType="2"

    STUN

Whether to enable the STUN server to function as the communication transfer server.

When IP phones and the ACS server are separated by NAT, the STUN server is required for connecting IP phones to the ACS server.

    Default: disable

    Parameter: STUNEnable

Location: Device > ComCfg > ManagementServer

    Value: 0 or 1

    • 0: disable
    • 1: enable

    Example: STUNEnable="0"

    STUN Server Address

IP address of the communication transfer server.

It is recommended that you use the ACS server to deliver this parameter.

    Parameter: STUNServerAddress

Location: Device > ComCfg > ManagementServer

    Example: STUNServerAddress="192.168.90.23"

    STUN Server Port

Port number of the communication transfer server.

It is recommended that you use the ACS server to deliver this parameter.

    Parameter: STUNServerPort

Location: Device > ComCfg > ManagementServer

    Example: STUNServerPort="3478"

    STUN User Name

User name for the STUN server to authenticate the IP phone when the IP phone sends a connection request to the STUN.

It is recommended that you use the ACS server to deliver this parameter.

    Parameter: STUNUsername

Location: Device > ComCfg > ManagementServer

    Example: STUNUsername="admin"

    STUN Password

Password for the STUN server to authenticate the IP phone.

It is recommended that you use the ACS server to deliver this parameter.

    Parameter: STUNPassword

Location: Device > ComCfg > ManagementServer

    Example: STUNPassword="admin123"

    STUN Keep-alive Period

Interval for the IP phone to send Bindingrequest messages to the STUN server.

Set the parameter based on the onsite number of users. If the SBC is deployed onsite, the STUN keep-alive period needs to be shorter than the NAT table item aging interval.

    Default: 150

    Unit: s

    NOTE:

This parameter is mandatory when the eSight manages the IP phone cross the NAT.

    Parameter: STUNKeepAlivePeriod

Location: Device > ComCfg > ManagementServer

    Value: 10~3600s

    Example: STUNKeepAlivePeriod="150"
