Checking the Server Node


Log in to the iBMC WebUI and check the health status of the Server Node. Ensure that its health status meets the environment requirements for software installation.


  • IP address of the iBMC management network port on the Server Node
  • User name and password for logging in to the iBMC WebUI

  • Default IP addresses of 4U4 server nodes:
    • Slot 1:
    • Slot 3:
    • Slot 5:
    • Slot 7:

    N in "Node iBMC Default Network Setting 10.10.1.(100+N)" on the chassis label indicates the server node slot number, namely 1, 3, 5, and 7.

  • Default subnet mask:

iBMC login data

User name and password

  • Default user name: Administrator
  • Default password: Admin@9000


Check the Server Node in the sequence shown in Figure 4-26. Determine the checking method based on site requirements.

  1. Check indicator status.

    Observe Server Node indicator status, and check that the device hardware is properly operating.

  2. Check the Server Node on the iBMC WebUI.

    1. Log in to the iBMC WebUI. For details, see Logging In to the iBMC WebUI or CLI of the Server Node.
    2. Choose Information on the menu bar, choose Information Summary in the navigation tree.
    3. Query Server Node version information.

      View the Server Node version information. See Figure 4-27, check that the Server Node version information meets site requirements.

    4. Query the health status of the Server Node.

      View the Server Node health status. See Figure 4-27.
