Installing an XH628 V5


  1. Determine the position of the server node in the chassis.

    Install the XH628 V5 nodes into the chassis from left to right.

  2. Remove filler panels.


    Perform this operation only when filler panels are installed.

    1. Gently push the release button on the filler panel. See (1) in Figure 3-8.
    2. Hold the ejected side of the filler panel, and pull it out of the chassis. See (2) in Figure 3-8.

    1. Place the removed filler panel in an accessory recycle bin.

  3. Install the server node.

    To prevent device damage or personal injury, hold the bottom of the device with both hands when installing it.

    1. Press the ejector latch on the server node. See (1) in Figure 3-9.
    2. Fully open the ejector lever. See (2) in Figure 3-9.
    3. Slide the server node into the chassis horizontally. See (3) in Figure 3-9.

    1. Close the ejector lever.

  4. Connect the multi-port cable as required.

    1. Press the two tabs on the multi-port cable connector. See (1) in Figure 3-10.
    2. Connect the multi-port cable to the UCP on the server. See (2) in Figure 3-10.

  5. Power on the server node.

  6. Check indicator status.

    For details, see Indicators and Buttons.
