Enabling the Digest Snooping Function

Context

Interconnected Huawei and non-Huawei devices cannot communicate with each other if they have the same region name, revision number, and VLAN-to-instance mappings but different BPDU keys. To address this problem, enable the digest snooping function on the Huawei device.

Perform the following steps on a switch in an MST region to enable the digest snooping function.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run interface interface-type interface-number

    The Ethernet interface view is displayed.

  3. Run stp config-digest-snoop

    The digest snooping function is enabled.
