What Are the Aging Time and Aging Mechanism of MAC Address Entries?
The default aging time of MAC address entries is 5 minutes. You can run the mac-address aging-time command to change the aging time.
The aging mechanism of MAC addresses is as follows: When a data flow reaches an interface, the interface learns the MAC address dynamically. If the interface keeps receiving this data flow, the corresponding MAC address is updated continuously and will not be aged. If the data flow stops, the MAC address is deleted after the aging time.
The switch do not support query of the remaining aging time of a dynamic MAC address.
