Configuring Audio

After connecting audio cables, set the audio parameters. With these parameters set correctly, your endpoint can provide your desired audio effects

Procedure

  1. Choose System Settings > Input/Output and click the Audio tab.
  2. Set the audio parameters listed in Table 1-17.

    Setting

    Switch controls

    Controls whether audio signals collected by audio input devices, excluding the microphone array, are transmitted to your endpoint when you turn off the microphone array.

    • MIC array only: Your endpoint can receive audio signals collected by audio input devices, excluding the microphone array, when you turn off the microphone array.
    • All audio inputs: Your endpoint cannot receive audio signals collected by any audio input devices when you turn off the microphone array.

    To enable your endpoint to receive audio signals again, do any of the following:

    • Press the button on the microphone array to turn it on.
    • Tap the microphone icon on the Touch to turn on the audio input device.
    • On the endpoint web interface, choose Device Control > Audio Control and select the audio input ports you want to enable.

    The default value is All audio inputs.

    Secondary dial tone

    Enables or disables tone prompts for secondary dials.

    The default value is Disable.

    HDMI audio using presentation port

    Specifies the audio output policy of the HDMI video input port when the HDMI video input port of the endpoint is connected to the presentation source.
    • Enable: When the endpoint shares a presentation, the audio is sent to the remote site with the presentation. When the endpoint does not share a presentation, the audio is not sent to the remote site.
    • Disable: When AUDIO IN remote output is set to Unmute, the audio is sent to the remote site. When AUDIO IN remote output is set to Mute, the audio is not sent to the remote site.
      NOTE:
      To set AUDIO IN remote output, choose Device Control > Device Control > Audio Control on the web interface.

    The default value is Enable.

    Power over XLR connector

    Specifies whether the endpoint supplies power to the microphone through the XLR connector.

    The default value is Enable.

    Echo delay

    Adjusts the echo delay to eliminate echoes caused by delay in audio output during conferences.

    The default value is 0.

    Value range: 0-15

  3. Click Save.

    The settings take effect immediately.
