Possible Causes

Cause 1: The CAK configurations on the two ends are inconsistent.

Cause 2: The peer end does not respond.

Procedure

  • Cause 1: The CAK configurations on the two ends are inconsistent.
    1. Run the mka cak-mode static ckn ckn cak cak command in the interface view to configure the same CAK. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

      • If the alarm is cleared, no further action is required.
      • If the alarm persists, go to step 2.

    2. Collect the alarm, log, and configuration information, and contact Huawei technical support personnel.
  • Cause 2: The peer end does not respond.
    1. Run the display mka interface interface-type interface-number command in any view to check whether the peer device supports the MACsec function.

      • If the peer device does not support the MACsec function, the function is not available and does not need to be configured.
      • If the peer device supports MACsec, go to Step 2.

    2. Run the display interface command in any view to check the interface status on both devices.

      • If the interfaces on both ends are Up, the device re-negotiates with the peer device, and no action is required.
      • If one or both interfaces are Down, run the undo shutdown command in the interface view to configure both interfaces to go Up. If the alarm persists, go to Step 3.

    3. Collect the alarm, log, and configuration information, and contact Huawei technical support personnel.
