Possible Causes

Cause: The inactive interface is down.

Procedure

  • The inactive interface is down.
    1. Run the display interface brief command to check the physical status of the inactive interface.
    2. Check whether the cable of the inactive link is correctly connected.

      • If the inactive interface is Up, and the cable is correctly connected, go to Step 3.

      • If the inactive interface goes Down, and the undo shutdown command does not set the interface to Up, go to Step 3.

    3. Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
