OSPFV3_1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.147.0.21 hwOspfv3ImportNssaRouteThreshold

Description

The number of NSSA LSAs generated when an OSPFv3 process imports external routes exceeds the configured alarm upper threshold.(hwOspfv3ProcessId=[hwOspfv3ProcessId], hwOspfv3AreaIdIndex=[hwOspfv3AreaIdIndex], hwOspfv3Threshold=[hwOspfv3Threshold])

The number of NSSA-LSAs generated when an OSPFv3 process imported external routes exceeded the upper alarm threshold (in percentage) multiplied by the maximum number allowed.

Impact on the System

The network stability may be adversely affected.

Possible Causes

The number of NSSA-LSAs generated when an OSPFv3 process imported external routes exceeded the upper alarm threshold (in percentage) multiplied by the maximum number allowed.

Procedure

  1. Run the display ospfv3 command to check whether the number of NSSA-LSAs generated when an OSPFv3 process imported external routes exceeds the upper alarm threshold (in percentage) multiplied by the maximum number allowed.

    • If the number exceeds the upper alarm threshold (in percentage) multiplied by the maximum number allowed, this trap message is informational only and no action is required.

    • If the number has not exceeded the upper alarm threshold (in percentage) multiplied by the maximum number allowed, go to Step 2.

    NOTE:
Check the overload status based on the value of the Current status field in the display ospfv3 command output.
    • Normal: The number of LSAs generated when an OSPFv3 process imports external routes is less than or equal to the lower alarm threshold (in percentage) multiplied by the maximum number allowed.
    • Approach limit: The number of LSAs generated when an OSPFv3 process imports external routes is approaching (reaching or exceeding 90% of) the upper alarm threshold.
    • Exceed limit: The number of LSAs generated when an OSPFv3 process imports external routes has reached or exceeded the maximum number allowed.

  2. Perform the following operations as required:

    • If a change in the limit on the number of NSSA-LSAs is allowed, run the import-route limit limit-number [ threshold-alarm { upper-limit upper-limit-value | lower-limit lower-limit-value } * ] command to change the limit.
    • If a change in the limit on the number of NSSA-LSAs is not allowed, go to Step 3.

  3. contact technical support personnel.
  4. End.
