Impact on the System

  • The DFS protocol is used for M-LAG negotiation and establishment as well as entry and status synchronization between M-LAG devices. If the DFS connection is disconnected, the status of the MAC address table and ARP table of the two M-LAG devices may be inconsistent, and packets are incorrectly forwarded.

  • The DFS protocol is used for entry and status synchronization between all-active VXLAN gateways. If the DFS connection is disconnected, the ARP table status of different gateways may be inconsistent, and inter-subnet traffic to hosts on the network segment is incorrectly forwarded.

Possible Causes

The link status of the local or remote device was abnormal.

Procedure
