Impact on the System

A fault of the power module may cause insufficient power supply on the device. As a result, boards will be reset. Services are affected. This fault needs to be rectified.

Possible Causes

  • Cause 1 (EntityTrapFaultID=[136707]): The sub-module of the power module failed.

  • Cause 2 (EntityTrapFaultID=[136704]): Communication failed between power and CMU.

  • Cause 3 (EntityTrapFaultID=[136720]): The power supply switch failed.

  • Cause 4 (EntityTrapFaultID=[136712]): The output current was slightly uneven.

Procedure

  • Cause 1: The sub-module of the power module failed.
    1. Collect traps, logs, and configurations, and contact technical support personnel.
  • Cause 2: Communication failed between power and CMU.
    1. Remove and reinstall the power module. If the fault persists, go to step 2.
    2. Replace the power module. If the fault persists, go to step 3.
    3. Collect traps, logs, and configurations, and contact technical support personnel.
  • Cause 3: The power supply switch failed.
    1. Manually turn on the backplane power supply switch.
  • Cause 4: The current slight share.
    1. Shorten the cable length to reduce the board power consumption. If the fault persists, go to step 2.
    2. If other power modules are not powered on, power on the power modules. If the fault persists, go to step 3.
    3. Replace the power module.
