MQC/3/POLICY_APPLY_LOG: The traffic policy failed to be applied. (Traffic policy name=[name], Slot=[slot], Reason=[reason])

Description

The traffic policy failed to be applied to a switch.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

Traffic policy name

Indicates the traffic policy name.

Slot

Indicates the stack ID.

Reason

Indicates the cause for the failure to apply the traffic policy.

Possible Causes

Cause 1: Fields of rules in the traffic rule template referenced by the traffic policy conflicted.

Cause 2: Behaviors in the traffic behavior template referenced by the traffic policy conflicted.

Cause 3: The interface and direction of the interface where the traffic policy will be applied conflicted with the interface configuration in the traffic classifier template referenced by the traffic policy.

Cause 4: The VLAN where the traffic policy will be applied conflicted with the VLAN rule in the traffic classifier template referenced by the traffic policy.

Cause 5: Chip resources are insufficient.

Procedure

  1. Cause 1: Fields of rules in the traffic rule template referenced by the traffic policy conflicted.

    Check whether fields of rules in the traffic rule template referenced by the traffic policy conflicted.

    • If so, run the undo rule command to delete the conflicted ACL fields.
    • If not, go to step 2.

  2. Cause 2: Behaviors in the traffic behavior template referenced by the traffic policy conflicted.

    Check whether behaviors in the traffic behavior template referenced by the traffic policy conflicted.

    • If so, modify the configuration in the traffic behavior template.
    • If not, go to step 3.

  3. Cause 3: The interface and direction of the interface where the traffic policy will be applied conflicted with the interface configuration in the traffic classifier template referenced by the traffic policy.

    Check whether the interface and direction of the interface where the traffic policy will be applied conflicted with the interface configuration in the traffic classifier template referenced by the traffic policy.

    • If so, run the undo if-match command to delete the conflicted interface configuration in the traffic classifier template.
    • If not, go to step 4.

  4. Cause 4: The VLAN where the traffic policy will be applied conflicted with the VLAN rule in the traffic classifier template referenced by the traffic policy.

    Check whether the VLAN where the traffic policy will be applied conflicted with the VLAN rule in the traffic classifier template referenced by the traffic policy.

    • If so, run the undo if-match command to delete the conflicted VLAN configuration in the traffic classifier template.
    • If not, collect logs and contact Huawei technical support engineers.

  5. Cause 5: Chip resources are insufficient.

    Check whether chip resources are sufficient.

    • If not, deleted unused configurations.
    • Is so, collect logs and contact Huawei technical support engineers.
