A critical link event occurring in the EFM module was cleared.


Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
InterfaceName Interface name
EventType Event type:
  • Lost Link: indicates that the local device fails to receive an EFM protocol packet before the timer expires.

  • Link Fault: indicates that the physical status of this interface goes Down.

  • Dying Gasp: indicates that the board is reset or the device is restarted.

Location Location (local end or peer end) of the event

Possible Causes

Cause 1:

The local device received an EFM protocol packet from the peer device after the timer expired and entered the Detect phase.

Cause 2:

The physical status of the local or remote interface became Up.

Cause 3:

EFM was disabled on the local device.
