Possible Causes
- The BFD session went Down when no BFD packets was received for the BFD session within a detection period.
- The BFD session entered the NeighborDown state when a Down packet was received from the peer.
- The BFD session entered the AdminDown state when being shut down.
- The BFD session entered the ReceiveAdminDown state when an AdminDown packet was received from the peer.
Procedure
- Run the display current-configuration configuration bfd command to check whether the BFD session recovers.
- If the BFD session recovers, go to Step 5.
- If the BFD session does not recover, go to Step 2.
- Run the display current-configuration configuration bfd command to check whether BFD is disabled on either of both ends.
- If BFD is disabled on either of both ends, enable BFD and go to Step 1.
- If BFD is enabled on either of both ends, go to Step 3.
- Run the display bfd session all command to check whether the BFD sessions are deleted or shut down on both ends.
- If the BFD sessions are deleted or shut down on both ends, reconfigure BFD sessions and go to Step 1.
- the BFD sessions are not deleted or shut down on both ends, go to Step 4.
- Run the ping command to check whether the link monitored by the BFD session is working properly.
- If the link monitored by the BFD session is working properly, contact technical support personnel.
- If the link monitored by the BFD session is not working properly, rectify the link fault.
- End.
