Description

The local interface failed.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

hwPhysicalPortIfIndex

Physical interface index.

hwPhysicalPortName

Physical interface name.

Possible Causes

The local device reported this trap when a fault occurred on the link from the remote interface to the local interface, for example, the receive optical fiber was disconnected, the card where the local interface resided failed, or an optical module was abnormal.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the transmit optical fiber fails.

    • If so, replace the optical fiber.
    • If not, go to step 2.

  2. Check whether the optical module on the local or remote interface fails.

    • If so, replace the optical module.
    • If not, go to step 3.

  3. Check whether a card on the local or remote device fails.

    • If so, replace the card.
    • If not, go to step 4.

  4. Collect alarm, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
