BGP/6/RTID_CHG: The Router ID of a device was changed. The BGP protocol or VPN instance needed to be reset manually to make the new router ID take effect. (RouterID=[router-id], VpnInstance=[VpnInstance])


After the Router ID of a device is changed, BGP or a BGP VPN instance needs to be reset manually to make the new Router ID take effect.

VpnInstance Name of a VPN instance.

Possible Causes

The router ID of a device changed.


  • Run the reset bgp command in the system view to reset a specified BGP connection, making the new router ID take effect.
