DEVM/1/hwIfMonitorCrcErrorRising_active: The CRC error is rising. (hwIfMonitorIndex=[EntityPhysicalIndex], hwIfMonitorCrcErrorStatistics=[hwIfMonitorCrcErrorStatistics], hwIfMonitorCrcErrorThreshold=[hwIfMonitorCrcErrorThreshold], hwIfMonitorAllStatistics=[hwIfMonitorAllStatistics], hwIfMonitorCrcErrorInterval=[hwIfMonitorCrcErrorInterval], EntPhysicalName=[EntPhysicalName])

The number of CRC error packets with length greater than 64 bytes and less than 1518 bytes received by an interface within a specified period exceeded the configured upper threshold.

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
hwIfMonitorIndex Indicates the index of the entity.
hwIfMonitorCrcErrorStatistics Indicates real-time statistics on CEC error packets.
hwIfMonitorCrcErrorThreshold Indicates the upper threshold for CRC error packets.
hwIfMonitorAllStatistics Indicates real-time packet statistics.
hwIfMonitorCrcErrorInterval Indicates the interval for collecting statistics.
EntPhysicalName Indicates the name of the entity.

Possible Causes

The interface received too many CRC error packets with length greater than 64 bytes and less than 1518 bytes within a specified period.

  1. Run the display this command in the interface view to check whether the alarm threshold is set too small. Users can specify the threshold range according to service requirements.

    • If so, go to Step 2.
    • If not, go to Step 3.

  2. Run the trap-threshold crc-statistics command in the interface view to set the alarm threshold to a larger value. Check whether the fault is rectified.

    • If so, no action is required.
    • If not, go to Step 3.

  3. Collect trap messages, log messages, and configurations, and contact technical support personnel.
