EFM/3/LINKEVENT:A link event occurred. (InterfaceName=[InterfaceName], EventTimeStamp=[EventTimeStamp], EventType=[EventType], Location=[Location], Window=[Window], Threshold=[Threshold], Errors=[Errors], ErrorRunningTotal=[ErrorRunningTotal], EventRunningTotal=[EventRunningTotal])

The event that the number of errored frames, errored frame seconds, or errored codes exceeded the threshold occurred in the EFM module.

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
InterfaceName Interface name
EventTimeStamp Time when the event is generated
EventType Event type:
  • Errored Frame

  • Errored Frame Second

  • Errored Code

Location Location (local end or peer end) of the event
Window Statistics interval
Threshold Statistics threshold
Errors Number of errors occurring within a statistics interval
ErrorRunningTotal Total number of errors counted after the EFM module reset
EventRunningTotal Total number of events counted after the EFM module reset

Possible Causes

The function of generating events for errored frames, errored frame seconds, and errored codes was enabled, and the number of errored frames, errored frame seconds, or errored codes reached or exceeded the set threshold within the set interval.

  1. Run the display efm command to check whether the threshold for the number of errored frames, errored frame seconds, or errored codes is set to 0.

    • If the threshold is 0, set the threshold to a non-zero value, and then go to Step 4.

    • If the threshold is non-zero, go to Step 2.

  2. Check whether the link is Down.

    • If the link is Down, repair the link, and then go to Step 4.

    • If the link is Up, go to Step 3.

  3. Contact technical support personnel.
  4. End.
