Description

Among the interfaces bound to the VPN instance, the only one interface that was Up went Down.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

VpnInstanceName

Name of the VPN instance

IfName

Name of the interface

IfCurRowStatus

Row status of the MIB, which can be:

  • 1: Active

  • 2: Not in Service

VRFOperationStatus

VRF operating status, which can be:

  • 1: Up

  • 2: Down

Possible Causes

Cause: All the interfaces bound to the VPN instance went Down or the only one interface that was Up is unbound from the VPN instance.

Procedure

  1. Run the display ip vpn-instance verbose vpn-instance-name command to check which interfaces are bound to the VPN instance.

    • If no interfaces are found bound to the VPN instance, check if some misoperation caused interfaces to be unbound from the VPN instance.
    • If some interfaces are found bound to the VPN instance, go to Step 2.

  2. Run the display interface brief command to check if some of the interfaces bound to the VPN instance are Up.

    • If some of the interfaces are Up, go to Step 5.
    • If none of the interfaces is Up, go to Step 3.

  3. Check if all the interfaces bound to the VPN instance have IP addresses.

    • If they have, go to Step 4.
    • If some of them do not have IP addresses, run the ip address ipv4-address command to configure IP addresses for these interfaces.

  4. Run the display this command in the view of the interface bound to the VPN instance to check if the shutdown command has been configured on the interface.

    • If the shutdown command has been configured, run the undo shutdown command to enable the interface.
    • If the shutdown command has not been configured, go to Step 5.

  5. Contact technical support personnel.
  6. End.
