Description

A remote OSPF router ID conflict occurred in an area.

Possible Causes

At least two non-directly connected routers shared the same router ID within one area. As a result, router LSAs were refreshed frequently, which led to route flapping.

Procedure

  • Rectify the router ID to ensure that OSPF router IDs are unique in the area.
