This document describes the configurations of Buffer optimization of lossless queues, Fast ECN, Fast CNP, Dynamic ECN threshold of lossless queues, and Dynamic load balancing.

Manually Configuring Buffer Optimization of Lossless Queues

Context

When automatic buffer optimization of lossless queues is enabled and the automatically configured buffer threshold cannot meet requirements, disable automatic buffer optimization of lossless queues and assign the buffer threshold.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run low-latency fabric

    The low-latency network function is enabled and the low-latency network view is displayed.

    By default, the low-latency network function is not enabled.

    NOTE:

    After running this command, you need to save the configuration and restart the device to make the configuration take effect. You can restart the device immediately or after all the configurations are complete.

  3. Run undo qos buffer auto-configuration enable

    Automatic buffer optimization of lossless queues is disabled.

    By default, automatic buffer optimization of lossless queues is disabled.

    NOTE:

    After running this command, you need to save the configuration and restart the device to make the configuration take effect. You can restart the device immediately or after all the configurations are complete.

  4. Run quit

    Return to the system view.

  5. Run qos buffer headroom-pool size size [ kbytes | mbytes | cells ] [ slot slot-id ]

    The chip-level headroom buffer threshold is configured.

    By default, the chip-level headroom buffer threshold is not configured.

  6. Run qos buffer lossless-pool percent percent-value slot slot-id

    The percentage of the service pool buffer threshold for lossless queues in the chip-level service pool is configured.

    By default, the percentage of the service pool buffer threshold for lossless queues in the chip-level service pool buffer is 0. That is, lossless and lossy queues share the chip-level service pool buffer.

    NOTE:

    After running this command, you need to save the configuration and restart the device to make the configuration take effect. You can restart the device immediately or after all the configurations are complete.

  7. Run interface interface-type interface-number

    The interface view is displayed.

  8. Run qos buffer { ingress-shared-threshold ingress-shared-threshold-value { bytes | kbytes | mbytes } | guaranteed guaranteed-value { bytes | kbytes | mbytes } } *

    The inbound service and guaranteed buffer thresholds are configured on an interface.

    By default, the inbound service and guaranteed buffer thresholds are not configured on an interface.

  9. Run qos buffer egress-shared-threshold egress-shared-threshold-value { bytes | kbytes | mbytes }

    The outbound service buffer threshold on an interface is configured.

    By default, the outbound service buffer threshold on an interface is not configured.

  10. Run dcb pfc buffer queue-index { guaranteed guaranteed-value [ cells | bytes | kbytes ] | xoff { [ static ] xoff-value [ cells | bytes | kbytes | mbytes ] | dynamic alpha-value } | xon xon-value [ cells | bytes | kbytes | mbytes ] | hdrm hdrm-value [ cells | bytes | kbytes ] } *

    The PFC guaranteed and headroom buffer thresholds for inbound queues and thresholds for triggering and stopping PFC frames are configured.

    By default, the PFC guaranteed and headroom buffer thresholds for inbound queues and thresholds for triggering and stopping PFC frames are not configured.

  11. Run qos buffer queue queue-index { shared-threshold { static static-value { bytes | kbytes | mbytes } | dynamic dynamic-value } | guaranteed guaranteed-value { bytes | kbytes } } *

    The service and guaranteed buffer thresholds for outbound queues are configured on an interface.

    By default, the service and guaranteed buffer thresholds for outbound queues are not configured on an interface.

  12. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
