Possible Causes

Cause 1: An incorrect community name is used to connect to the device.

Cause 2: An incorrect SNMPv3 user name is used to connect to the device.

Procedure

  1. Run the display current-configuration command in the user view to check whether the community name or SNMPv3 user name is correctly configured.

    • If so, go to step 3.
    • If not, go to step 2.

  2. Run the snmp-agent community command in the system view to modify the community name, run the snmp-agent usm-user command in the system view to create a correct user, and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If so, go to step 4.
    • If not, go to step 3.

  3. Collect alarm, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
  4. End.
