Name Meaning

Indicates the MIB object ID of the alarm.

Index Indicates the index of the alarm.
EntityPhysicalIndex Indicates the entity index.
PhysicalName Indicates the name of the physical entity.
EntityTrapFaultID Indicates the error code of the alarm.
EntityTrapReasonDescr Indicates the description of the error code.

Impact on the System

Services are interrupted on the interface with the optical module installed.

Possible Causes

The temperature of the optical module is below the lower limit.


  1. Run the display transceiver verbose command in user view to check temperature of the optical module.
  2. If temperature of the optical module is below the lower limit, adjust the air conditioning system in the equipment room to raise the temperature.
  3. If the alarm persists, collect alarm information, log information, and configuration of the device and contact technical support personnel.
