Impact on the System

The CPU usage will remain high if the cyclic iteration problem is not resolved.

Possible Causes

Cause 1:

A configuration error occurred.

Cause 2:

An error occurred in network deployment.

Cause 3:

BGP packets were modified.


  1. Perform the following operation based on the value of the Type parameter:

    • If the value is 1 (route iteration) or 2 (tunnel iteration), run the display ipv4 nexthop-indirection command to check the IPv4 next hop information.

    • If the value is 3 (IPv6 route iteration), run the display ipv6 nexthop-indirection command to check the IPv6 next hop information.

    Check the value of the Protocol field.
    • If the value is BGP, run the display bgp nexthop ipv4-address command, collect all the displayed information, and contact technical support personnel. The ipv4-address parameter indicates the IP address of the next hop with cyclic iteration.
    • If the value is not BGP, contact technical support personnel.
