(Optional) Configuring the IP Address of the Next Hop to Which Traffic Entering a Dynamic VXLAN Tunnel Is Redirected

Context

You can configure the IP address of the next hop to which traffic entering a dynamic VXLAN tunnel is redirected, implementing policy-based routing (PBR) for the traffic.

If the IP address of the next hop to which traffic entering a dynamic VXLAN tunnel is redirected is unreachable or invalid, the configured next hop IP address does not take effect.

When configuring the IP address of the next hop to which traffic entering a dynamic VXLAN tunnel is redirected, ensure that the next hop and the local device are in the same VPN instance.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run ip vpn-instance

A VPN instance is created, and the VPN instance view is displayed.

By default, no VPN instance is configured.

  3. Run ipv4-family

The IPv4 address family is enabled for the VPN instance.

By default, the IPv4 address family is disabled for a VPN instance.

  4. Run quit

Return to the VPN instance view.

  5. Run vni redirect ip-nexthop ip-address

The IP address of the next hop to which traffic entering a dynamic VXLAN tunnel is redirected is configured.
