(Optional) Configuring DSVPN QoS

(Optional) Configuring DSVPN QoS

In a DSVPN scenario, the headquarters or branch can perform QoS classification on traffic of each tunnel for QoS management (traffic shaping and traffic policing). For example, the headquarters performs QoS management on branch traffic:
  • Configure an NHRP group on a branch.

The NHRP packet sent by the branch carries the NHRP group name. After receiving the NHRP packet, the headquarters obtains the NHRP group name from the packet, records the NHRP group name in an NHRP peer entry, and generates the mapping between the IP address and QoS policy based on the locally configured NHRP group name and QoS policy. In this way, the headquarters can perform QoS management on branch traffic.

  • Create a matching rule based on the NHRP group in the QoS traffic classifier view on the headquarters and configure the corresponding QoS policy.

The procedure is as follows:Configure a traffic classifier to match an NHRP group > Configure a traffic behavior > Configure a traffic policy > Apply the traffic policy.

For details on QoS, see Huawei AR650&AR1600&AR6100 Series V300R003 Configuration Guide - QoS Configuring MQC.

V300R003C10 and later versions support this configuration.

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run interface tunnel interface-number

The tunnel interface view is displayed.

  3. Run nhrp group group-name [ vendor-id vendor-id ]

    An NHRP group is configured.

By default, no NHRP group is configured.
