Saving Logs as Log Files

Saving Logs as Log Files

Context

This section describes how to save logs in the user log buffer and diagnosis log buffer as log files.
  • Logs in the user log buffer are saved as the file log.log.
  • Logs in the diagnosis log buffer are saved as the file log.dblg.

When the size of a log file exceeds the threshold, the log file is automatically compressed as a .zip file.

Procedure

  • Querying log information
    1. Choose System Management > Log Management > Log File.As shown in Figure 17-16.

    2. Click Refresh.

      Information about log files is displayed in Log File. For details about parameters in Log File, see Table 17-6.

    Parameter

    Description

    File Name

    Name of the log file.

    Type

    Type of the log file.

    Storage Medium

    Directory where the log file is stored.

    Size

    Size of the log file, in bytes.

    Operation

    To download the log file, you can click .

  • Downloading a log file
    1. Choose System Management > Log Management > Log File.
    2. Find the required log file from the log file list, and click mapping the log file. The File Download dialog box is displayed.
    3. Click Save As.
    4. Select the directory for storing the log file and click Save.
  • Deleting a log file
    1. Choose System Management > Log Management > Log File.
    2. Select a log file in the log file list.
    3. Click Delete.
    4. In the dialog box that is displayed, click OK. The log file is deleted.
