Switching the WLAN Mode

Context

The device supports the WLAN AP and AC modes and can switch between the two modes.

NOTE:
  • Only models whose name contain W supports WLAN mode switching.
  • By default, the AR651W-X4 works in AP mode and other devices work in AC mode.

Procedure

  • Switch from the AC mode to the AP mode.
    1. Log in to the web platform, and click in the upper right corner of the page to switch to the AP mode, as shown in Figure 7-1.

      NOTE:

      The button is displayed upon login only when the device is working in AC mode.

    2. In the Information dialog box that is displayed, select Save and Restart, as shown in Figure 7-2. The device switches to the AP mode after the device configuration is saved and the device restarts.

  • Switch from the AP mode to the AC mode.
    1. Log in to the web platform, and click in the upper right corner of the page to switch to the AC mode, as shown in Figure 7-3.
