If a HUAWEI CLOUD ECS does not need to provide any public server, you can unbind its HUAWEI CLOUD EIP. You can also extend the HUAWEI CLOUD EIP for further use or release it when it is no longer used.


  1. Use a browser to log in to the ManageOne operation plane as a VDC administrator, a VDC operator, or an agent administrator.

  2. In the left part of the main menu, select a region and a project.
  3. Choose Console > Network > Elastic IP(HWS) from the main menu.
  4. Locate the target HUAWEI CLOUD EIP and perform management operations.

    You can perform the following operations:
    • Unbinding an EIP

      If this HUAWEI CLOUD EIP is bound to a HUAWEI CLOUD ECS, you can click Unbind in the Operation column. In the displayed dialog box, click OK to unbind the HUAWEI CLOUD EIP from the HUAWEI CLOUD ECS.

      After the HUAWEI CLOUD EIP is unbound, you can reconfigure the binding relationship if necessary.

    • Extending the validity duration

      Click Extend in the Operation column. In the displayed dialog box, set the extension duration of the HUAWEI CLOUD EIP.

    • Releasing or unsubscribing from an EIP
      1. If this HUAWEI CLOUD EIP is bound to a HUAWEI CLOUD ECS, unbind it first.
      2. Click Release or Unsubscribe and confirm the operation.
        • If Billing Mode of an EIP is Metered, select Release.
        • If Charging Mode of an EIP is Yearly/Monthly, select Unsubscribe.

        After a HUAWEI CLOUD EIP is released or unsubscribed from, it is completely deleted and cannot be moved to the recycle bin.
