Managing Security Groups

If you want to use new security access policies on a HUAWEI CLOUD ECS and a security group with the security access policies exists in the system, you can add the ECS to the security group.


A security group that meets the new security access rule already exists. For details, see Creating a Security Group.


  1. Use a browser to log in to the ManageOne operation plane as a VDC administrator, a VDC operator, or an agent administrator.

  2. In the left part of the main menu, select a region and a project.
  1. Choose Console > Computing > Elastic Cloud Server(HWS) from the main menu.
  2. Click the name of the target ECS.
  3. On the NIC tab page, click the NIC whose security group needs to be changed and click Modify Security Group, as shown in Figure 4-17.

    You can add a NIC to multiple security groups. The network access rules that the NIC complies with are the union of all security group rules.

  4. Select a security group and click OK.
