Creating a Snapshot

A snapshot is a complete copy or image of a HUAWEI CLOUD EVS disk at a certain time. A snapshot of an EVS disk can be created to store the EVS disk data of the current time point. You can create a snapshot for either the system disk or data disk.

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. Use a browser to log in to the ManageOne operation plane as a VDC administrator, a VDC operator, or an agent administrator.

    In the non-B2B scenario, the login address format is https://Address for accessing the Console page, for example, https://console.type.com.

    In the B2B scenario, the login address format is https://Address used by VDC users to access the ManageOne operation plane, for example, https://console.type.com.

  2. In the left part of the main menu, select a region and a project.
  1. Choose Console > Storage > Elastic Volume Service(HWS) from the main menu.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Snapshot(HWS). On the displayed page, click Create Snapshot.

    The Create Snapshot page is displayed.

  3. Specify the name of a snapshot.
  4. Click Select to select the HUAWEI CLOUD EVS disk for which you want to create a snapshot at the current time, and click OK, as shown in Figure 5-11.

  5. Click Submit.
  6. Go to the Task Center page to query the status of the snapshot creation task.
