Changing the Password of a Resource Pool User

Changing the Password of a Resource Pool User

When the password of a registered user on HUAWEI CLOUD is changed, you need to change the password of the account to which the resource pool belongs. If the password is not changed in time, ManageOne uses the old password to communicate with HUAWEI CLOUD. After multiple attempts, HUAWEI CLOUD will lock the account.

NOTE:
  • For versions earlier than ManageOne 6.3.2, if the account is locked, contact Huawei technical support.
  • For ManageOne 6.3.2 or later, if the account has been locked, reset the password by referring to this section. Before resetting the password, ensure that the Verify HUAWEI CLOUD Password switch is disabled.

Prerequisites

  • You have obtained the username and password of an operation administrator.
  • You have obtained the new password of the user registered on HUAWEI CLOUD.

Procedure

  1. Use a browser to log in to the ManageOne operation plane as an operation administrator.

In the non-B2B scenario, the login address format is https://Address for accessing the Console page, for example, https://console.type.com.

In the B2B scenario, the login address format is https://Address used by operation administrators to access the ManageOne operation plane, for example, https://adminconsole.type.com.

  2. Choose System > Cloud Resource Pool Access from the main menu.
  3. In the navigation pane, choose HUAWEI CLOUD Access.
  4. Locate the row that contains the account whose password is to be changed, click Reset Password.
  5. In the Reset Password dialog box, set New Password and Confirm Password.

    NOTE:

On ManageOne 6.3.2 or later, the Verify HUAWEI CLOUD Password switch is added. The switch is disabled by default. If this switch is enabled, the system sends a verification request to HUAWEI CLOUD before resetting the password. The password is reset only after the verification is successful.

  6. Click OK.
  7. Update all HUAWEI CLOUD resource pools in the HUAWEI CLOUD account by following the instructions provided in Updating Information About a Resource Pool for versions earlier than ManageOne 6.3.2.

After the update is performed, the account information is synchronized to the OM plane, and the OM plane uses the new account information to synchronize resource, performance, and alarm information from HUAWEI CLOUD.

  8. After changing the password, verify that the connectivity of the OM plane is normal by referring to Checking the Connectivity of a HUAWEI CLOUD Interconnected System and then provision services.
