Applying for a HUAWEI CLOUD VPC

You can apply for a HUAWEI CLOUD VPC to provide a secure isolated network environment. After a VPC is successfully requested, it is shared to the upper-level and lower-level VDCs of the user. When creating a HUAWEI CLOUD ECS for these VDCs, you can select VPCs and subnets under the VPC.


The VPC product you want to apply for has been brought online. Operation administrators, VDC administrators, or agent administrators can bring products online.


  1. Use a browser to log in to the ManageOne operation plane as a VDC administrator, a VDC operator, or an agent administrator.

  2. In the left part of the main menu, select a region and a project.
  3. Choose Console > Network > Virtual Private Cloud(HWS) from the main menu.
  4. Click Apply for VPC.
  5. In the displayed dialog box, select the desired HUAWEI CLOUD VPC and click Apply Now.
  6. Set parameters as described in Figure 6-2.

    Most VPC parameters have been preset. You can modify them as prompted.

    Parameter Type



    Basic Information


    Indicates the region where the HUAWEI CLOUD EVS disk is located. You can click the current region name in the upper left corner to switch the region.


    Indicates the HUAWEI CLOUD VPC name which is automatically generated by the system. You can modify the name.

    Network Segment

    Indicates the HUAWEI CLOUD VPC network segment. The IP addresses in this network segment can communicate with each other by default. The IP addresses in the network segment are isolated from those outside the network segment.

    Subnet Configuration

    Availability Zone

    Indicates the AZ where the subnet is located.

    Subnet Name

    Indicates the name of the HUAWEI CLOUD VPC subnet, which is automatically generated by the system and can be modified.

    Subnet Segment

    Indicates the subnet segment, which must be a subset of the network segment of the HUAWEI CLOUD VPC to which the subnet belongs.


    Indicates the subnet gateway, for example,

    DNS Server Address 1

    Indicates domain name service (DNS) server address 1. If you have installed the DNS server, you can set this parameter to establish a connection with the subnet.

    DNS Server Address 2

    Indicates DNS server address 2. If you have installed two DNS servers, you can set this parameter to establish a connection with the subnet.

    Duration Applied For

    Indicates the duration for using the HUAWEI CLOUD VPC.

  7. Click Submit.
  8. After the order is submitted successfully, you can view the order status on the My Orders page.


    When bringing a product of HUAWEI CLOUD VPCs online, you can set approvals for applying for, deleting, and extending the product.

    • If Yes in the Approve column corresponding to the Apply for approval item is selected, after you submit the order for applying for the HUAWEI CLOUD VPC, contact the approver included in the order details. The approver can approve the order on the My Approvals page. After being approved, the order is automatically executed.
    • Otherwise, the system automatically executes the order after the application order is submitted.
