How to set the network adapter binding?


The following uses the active server as an example. After the operations are complete, perform the operations again on the standby server.

  1. Use VNC to log in to the operating system of the active server as the root user.
  2. Run the following command in the command terminal. The YaST2 Control Center window is displayed.


  3. Choose System > Network Settings. The Network Settings page is displayed.
  4. Click the Overview tab.

  5. Click Add. The Hardware Dialog page is displayed.

    Set Device Type to Bond and set Configuration Name based on the installation plan, for example, bond2.

  6. Click Next. The Network Card Setup page is displayed.
  7. Click the Address tab and set the IP address, subnet mask, and host name.

  8. Click the Bond Slaves tab and select slave network adapters based on the installation plan.

  9. Click Next, click the Overview tab, and view the setting result.

  10. Click OK.
