How do I disable the operating system firewall?

Answer

  1. Use VNC or the server management port to log in to the server as the ossuser user.
  2. Run the following command to switch to the root user:

    su - root

  3. Run the yast2 command to access the YaST2 Control Center page.
  4. Choose Security and Users > Firewall.
  5. Select Disable Firewall Automatic Start, click Stop Firewall Now, and click Next.

  6. Click Finish.
